The Baumr-AG BPR960 Site-Mate Series Tracked Flatbed Wheelbarrow takes the hard work out of transporting almost anything. From farming to construction and agriculture to landscaping, the BPR960's is designed to do all the heavy lifting and cut your job time in half!

RELIABLE POWER

The BPR960 motorised wheelbarrow is equipped with a powerful 6.5HP 208cc Briggs & Stratton CR950 engine that features a forged crankshaft and a Dura-Bore™ cast iron sleeve providing optimal performance and durability.

ULTRA-TOUGH BUILD WITH A HUGE CAPACITY

Thick powder-coated steel and a huge 300kg load capacity makes the BPR960 perfect for transporting everything from heavy loads of logs, bricks, soil and cement. The tracked barrow is also equipped with extendable and removable side panels, which allows you to increase the platform loading capacity for various applications.

ALL TERRAIN TRACK DRIVE SYSTEM

180mm tracks provide this powered wheelbarrow with excellent stability and control with serious grip and efficient traction across uneven and difficult terrain while minimising ground damage. It will literally go just about anywhere that you can walk!

WELL BALANCED

An even balance allows for a full load to be tipped by the operator. With an optional gas shock (sold separately) you can lift the largest of payloads with ease. With the BPR960 motorised wheel barrow you can work faster and smarter with significantly less risk of fatigue or injuries, making it ideal for landscapers, builders and rural landowners.

VERSATILE DESIGN

The sides of the flatbed tray can be shifted outwards to accept a larger load. Railings above these sides allow for bigger loads of large items like logs to be transported. The sides can also be removed entirely to accommodate long items like beams and fence posts.

MULTI-SPEED HEAVY DUTY TRANSMISSION

With a heavy-duty transmission offering 3 speeds and reverse you can be assured of precise control when loading and unloading to transportation vehicles, as well as enjoying the ability to cover larger distances at an efficient pace when required.

OPTIMAL MANOEUVRABILITY

This motorized wheelbarrow turns on a dime thanks to 360° skid steering, and the low centre of gravity ensures optimum manoeuvrability and stability. The BPR960 is easy to operate and safely stops with the release of the clutch lever.

SECURE TRANSPORT

The tracks lock to keep the powered barrow in place during transport, while it sits comfortably in a typical ute tray for easy transport to worksites.

SLIMLINE DESIGN

At just 71cm wide this powered mini dumper is designed to easily access any site.

Baumr-AG BPR960 Tracked Flatbed Wheelbarrow Review

I have had the Baumr-AG BPR960 Tracked Flatbed Wheelbarrow for a few weeks now and can report that it a very sound machine.

The unit came largely preassembled (just handle section and tray assembly required) with full instructions in both text and pictorial, so I was not left guessing what the pictures meant. The only assembly detail omission was a couple of nylon washers (tipping hinge) but it was obvious where they went. If you wish to drive the unit straight away be sure to have non-ethanol petrol on hand and a suitable oil (I selected Synthetic 5W-30) and a suitable narrow spout for pouring the oil into a near horizontal oil inlet. Repco do some for around $7 I think.

In operation the unit is very gutsy, plenty of torque for heavy timber loads on slopes (I tried up to 20 degrees) and performed well on and off track. It performs fine with a bit of fresh muddy flat soil and a 1 day after rain on a slope in my testing.

I haven't needed to use the tray in the extended position. Probably most suitable for bunches of kindling or bales of hay etc in my usage.

The low centre of gravity makes for excellent control of the load and mine came with a gas strut which functions well too.

Starting is a breeze. The Briggs & Stratton motor excellent.

Each gear functions well. I probably won't use third much as there is more control with second gear especially if traversing bumps. I will mention though that the instruction manual is a little light on what to expect on gear changes. I have found that sometimes the unit does not want to engage a new gear, but that it is usually rectified at first attempt by returning to the prior gear and moving the wheelbarrow slightly, then retrying the gear change. I believe that this may be common behavior for non-mesh type (cog) gears? Changing gears is not frequent such as it is in a car, so not such a hassle as it sounds. However, any feedback from Baumr-AG would be welcome.

Steering is achieved by braking the relevant track and the braking does this job well. The unit is very maneuverable. This does however bring me to a workaround that I had to enact. The brake handles are factory set at a distance probably most suited to those with larger hands (glove size large or extra large I would guess). I wear a Medium size glove and found this gap too large. The easiest workaround is to get a nice wide zip tie (I used 7mm) and secure it to the fore part of the braking handle then tighten to suit. This will lessen the gap and there is enough play in the brake handle to make this a functionable solution - and the tie stays put. I also looked into various repivoting of the handles (it worked on one handle) but will probably revert to the zip tie solution. Doubtless there are further adjustments that can be made to the brake cable length (the standard tightening system is something separate) but that is for someone more mech than me.

I am giving the unit 5 stars as it is machined well and, despite the above learnings, will achieve everything I want it to.
