Had mine for a couple of years. Still working great!! Blows hard. Battery could be a bit bigger though.

My 8 ton log splitter from Edisons was delivered last week.
I'm almost 81 and splitting firewood has become a tad more troublesome for me in recent times. My old shoulder joints protest after a day swinging a block splitter.
So....I went YouTube-ing and checked out the world if electric log splitters.
I learned a lot, how to use and maintain this type of domestic log splitter.
Safety tips were plenty so armed with this knowledge, I went trawling online for the best deal in splitters.
This one from Edisons ticked all the boxes for me. Good price, good reviews and legendary Edisons made it easy to choose.
In the past few days, I've managed to split everything in my wood heap. Odd shapes, large logs, gnarly crazy shaped stuff that I wouldn't even attempt with my old block splitter.
I've now split all of this unsplittable wood and now looking forward to a tall slender gum tree being delivered to my place in pieces by a local tree cutter.
Mt new Edisons Baumr-ag 8 ton log splitter has performed faultlessly so far.
I found that it was a little low to the floor in my garage so I raised it about six inches higher off the ground.
Two solid square wooden blocks under each end and it's a safe, sturdy comfortable working height for me to sit down in a chair, feed logs in and take split firewood out !
It's relatively quiet in operation except for the occassional "bang" when a large log gives in to the mighty wedge.
Also, take care to not sit directly in front of the wedge beca6 sometimes, a split log can explode and send a split wood misile straight out.
Wear safety goggles always and maybe a hard hat or chainsaw operators face screen would be cheap insurance.
Two small issues.
The bleed screw which is a tiny metal slotted screw with a plastic wing-nut lasted about five minutes.
...a split piece of wood sheared off one side of the "T" shaped plastic wing-nut.
It's now a one sided "L" shaped wing-nut which is so much better because it hangs down, avoiding any flying missiles of wood.
Edisons charge $30 for a new bleed screw.
C'mon Edisons,
.... it's a twenty cent screw !
I can make one for peanuts if I had the time.
Another issue,
...to check the oil level, the splitter must be raised to an upright position by lifting it by the carrying handle.
If you do this, when it reaches the upright position, the whole 45 kg weight of it is resting on the operating lever .
Not goid, and in my humble opinion, the lever could be damaged.
I work around this by placing plenty of padding on the floor to cushion the load on the lever
Summing up ?
It's the best mans toy I've bought in a long time and I highly recommend it.
Edisons !
...think about that 30 dollar bleed screw.

Had for 18 months now is quite heavy other than that awesome mower.
Fantastic mower, easy to assemble, love the self propelled aspect, and the drink holders, what a great idea, mulching is unbelievable, delivery was great, and thanks to Hunters transport for their expediency and service, highly recommend this mower, and $$$$$ cheaper than the big stores, do yourself a favour, you won't regret it.

Another quality tool to add to my collection
I chose this mower for its self drive and electric start.
I like the 6hp 224cc motor as when mowing it is only running just above idle,so should last for years.
Only fault or thing that could be better is it came with a 20v 2ah starting battery,which starts motor ok when cold but struggles to start motor when hot,so it needs a 20v 4ah battery.
Seems well built for a modern mower.
Cuts grass great and the self drive works great.
The 2 year warranty is promising that this mower will last,i hope.
Lots of mowers now have only 1 year warranty.
Postage was quick and well packaged.

If you are replacing the fan - the nut is a left hand thread.
Can I buy an extra cutting line with this product?
Has plenty of power for small jobs. The laser light helps keep a straight cut. There is no kickback during use on 20 mm plank. Good clean cut and easy to use.

Needed a " muck around in the shed, bench drill " . This is perfect. Ordered wednesday at 10am , was delivered to my address 5.30pm thursday, bloody wonderful.
My el-cheapo 40V mower from Edissons threw the towel in after 10 years. I tossed a coin whether to get the 500 or the 450. I ordered the 500 on Thursday and I just finished mowing Monday morning. Besides quick delivery the 500 was easy to assemble and it performed well. I am sure the smaller 450 would have sufficed my little lawn but the 500 powered over it. I use to carry my smaller electric under my arm, this model is much bigger and much more powerful. The catcher is designed to collect the most mulch as possible. It does pack in very well. My neighbours have Ryobi electric mowers that are more expensive with tiny 18v batteries, I have used them and stand by the Baumr 500 against them. I do recommend this product delivered for $350 but the smaller 450 would suit small lawns. The difference is a 4" span. I am more than happy.
i would recommend buy one if your looking at getting one. has more go in it than i expected. been cutting trees branches 10 inches thick.

Just picked this mower up and put it to the test immediately. Buffalo lawn well overgrown at between 3 to 4 feet high and thick as hell on a lawn not mowed for at least six months. Honestly didn't expect it to get through it but it absolutely smashed it. Plenty of power, runs smoothly and it performs well above my expectations. Had to make a few minor adjustments to throttle cable etc however that's to be expected. This things a beast and well worth the money. Definitely recommend
